Life

                 Mahalakshmi comes from a musical family. her mother could be a carnatic classical singer. she began learning hindustani music at associate degree early age as did her 3 sisters, kalpana, padmini and shobha. iyer grew up in urban center and could be a graduate of st. xavier's faculty, mumbai, wherever she took up categories in urdu to excellent her pronunciation .

Career

               Mahalakshmi created her singing debut with dus, that was shankar–ehsaan–loy's debut as music administrators in 1997, although the album discharged solely in 1999. later, she went on to figure often with them. she then herb the track ae ajnabee with udit narayan for a. r. rahman in mani ratnam's dil se.. (1998).

             Since then she has sung several songs in films, serials, jingles and original albums. she was a part of many winning soundtracks like mission geographic area, yaadein and saathiya and worked with a number of the largest music composers sort of a. r. rahman, shankar–ehsaan–loy anu malik, jatin-lalit and a lot of.
