              Kumar Sanu (alias Kedarnath Bhattacharya, born on twenty October 1957 in Kolkata) could be a leading Indian screenland playback singer. He was awarded the Filmfare Best Male Playback Award for 5 consecutive years. the govt. of Bharat honored him with the Padma Shri in 2009.

Life

            Kumar Sanu was born a Bengali Hindu Kulin Brahmin family. Kumar Sanu's father Pashupati Bhattacharya was a Vocalist and Composer. He trained Sanu as a singer and tabla player. when obtaining a degree in commerce from city University, Sanu began acting in public in 1979, singing at shows and restaurants around city. He tried to model his singing vogue when screenland singer Kishore Kumar. Later he developed his own singing vogue.

Career

               Sanu started his reproduce career with a Bangladeshi motion-picture show Tin Kanya directed by Shibli Sadiq in 1986. This music, tin konyar ek chobi, was the title track of that motion-picture show.

             In 1987, musician and singer Jagjit Singh offered Sanu the possibility to sing within the Hindi film Aandhiyan. Sanu then resettled to Mumbai, wherever Kalyanji-Anandji gave him likelihood to sing within the film Jaadugar. Kalyanji-Anandji urged that he modification his name from Kedar Nath Bhattacharya to Kumar Sanu.

             Sanu started off singing Jagjit Singh's film songs, and went on to figure with composers as well as Naushad, Ravindra Jain, Hridayanath Mangeshkar, Pt.R K Razdan, Kalyanji Anandji, and Usha Khanna. 

           For the 1990 film Aashiqui, music administrators Nadeem-Shravan got Sanu to sing about one in every of the songs including "Ek Sanam Chahiye", "Tu Meri Zindagi", "Nazar Ke Saamne", "Jaane Jigar Jaaneman", "Ab Tere Bin Jee Lenge Hum" and "Dheere Dheere Se". Other Work

Currently, Kumar militianu is deciding Zee Bangla musical reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa - Gane Gane Tomar Mone as of 2012. 

Politics

             He joined Bharatiya Janata Party in 2004 during a ceremony headed by (party) president Venkiah Naidu.
