               Dhanush (born: Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja on twenty eight July 1983), is associate Indian film actor, playback singer, writer and producer, distinguished in Tamil cinema. His filmography includes critically acclaimed films like Kadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, Aadukalam and Mayakkam Enna and commercially productive films like Thulluvadho Ilamai, Thiruda Thirudi, Thiruvilayadal Arambam, Polladhavan, Yaaradi nee Mohini, Padikathavan, Kutty and Uthama Puthiran.

           He won the National Film Award for Best Actor and Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Tamil for his performance in Aadukalam. he's the son of Kasthuri Raja and therefore the brother of Selvaraghavan, each administrators in Tamil cinema. Dhanush has been within the spotlight within the wake of the mass success of his song "Why This Kolaveri Di". 

Life

             Dhanush was born to director Kasthuri Raja. He completed education at St. John's matric Higher middle school Alwarthirunagar and entered acting, when being pressured by his brother, director Selvaraghavan. Dhanush was married on eighteen Nov 2004 to actor Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya. they need 2 sons, named Yatra (b. ten 2006) and Linga.(b. twenty one June 2010).

 Work

              Dhanush often works as a playback singer and writer moreover, typically in his own films. He was introduced as a playback singer in Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan by its musician Yuvan sitar player Raja and collaborated once more with him in his brother Selvaraghavan's directorial, Pudhupettai. He sung additional numbers in Selvaraghavan's films Aayirathil Oruvan and Mayakkam Enna; the previous featured him aboard his partner Aishwarya Rajinikanth. His biggest success became the song "Why this Kolaveri Di" from his coming film three, directed by his partner. The song became infectious agent on net and gained overwhelming response, taking Dhanush nationwide fame. He had conjointly sung another song "Kannazhaga" from a similar film along with his co-star Shruti Haasan. He was appointed to become the complete ambassador of PETA with the title of India's Hottest eater Celebrity of 2011. Dhanush joins hands with WWF Bharat to support Earth Hour 2012.
