                Paliyath Jayachandran, popularly referred to as P. Jayachandran may be a South Indian playback singer from Kerala. 

Life 

               Jayachandran was born in 'Bhadralayam', Ravipuram, Ernakulam, and later his family rapt to Irinjalakkuda. His father Ravivarma Kochaniyan Thampuran of the domestic fowl royal line was a learned musician, tho' not knowledgeable singer. His mother Subhadra Kunjamma Paliyam Swarupam was additionally a good consumer World Health Organization inspired Jayachandran to be told the notes of Mridangam at a really young age and along with her support he might attain manual dexterity with the Mridangam. He began to sing pious songs in churches at the age of eight.

              Jayachandran graduated from Christ school, Irinjalakuda. He was a student of the Irinjalakuda National faculty from wherever he received several prestigious prizes for enjoying the Mridangam and light-weight music within the State faculty Youth pageant Jayachandran met Yesudas in 1958 once he participated within the state youth pageant. Yesudas won the simplest Classical Singer award and Jayachandran got the simplest Mridamgist award within thesame year.
