              Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam ( born four June 1946) is AN Indian playback singer, actor, director, voice actor and filmmaker. he's typically remarked as S. P. B. or Balu. He won the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer six fold and also the Nandi Awards twenty five times from Government Andhra Pradesh. 

              He has sung over 40,000 songs in numerous Indian languages. he's the sole playback singer in India to own won National Film Awards across four languages. He has additionally won a Filmfare Award, 3 Filmfare Awards South and diverse state awards from state and state. he's a recipient of civilian awards like Padmashri (2001) and Padma Bhushan (2011) from the govt of Asian country. 
 

Life

                            Balasubrahmanyam was born to S. P. Sambamurthy in Konetammapeta of Madras Presidency, Present day Nellore district Andhra Pradesh. Balasubrahmanyam's father was a Harikatha creative person who had additionally acted in plays. He has 2 brothers and 5 sisters. he's the elder brother of singer S.P. Sailaja. he's married to Savitri and has 2 youngsters, Pallavi and S. P. B. Charan who could be a playback singer and producer yet.

                 Balasubrahmanyam developed AN interest towards music at AN early age, studied notations and learned to play instruments like the organ and flute on his own whereas being attentive to his father. His father wished him to become AN engineer, that brought him to Anantapur, wherever he registered for the Engineering course at JNTU college of Engineering Anantapur. Later he interrupted the course because of infectious disease, then joined as AN Associate Member of the establishment of Engineers, Chennai. Career

Singing : 

                     Balasubrahmanyam's 1st break in Hindi films was Ek Duje Ke Liye (1981), that he received the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer. He was playback singer for movie industry actor Salman Khan in most of his movies from 1989 to 1995. for instance, in movies like Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! and Andaz Apna Apna, all songs pictured on Salman Khan area unit sung by him. They were alright received and remembered even to the current day thanks to his voice's apt setting with Salman Khan.

             In the Nineties he worked with composers like Vidyasagar, M. M. Keeravani, S. A. Rajkumar, however his association with A.R.Rahman clad be a serious success.

He received the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actor for the Telugu picture Pavithra Bandham (1996) from the govt Andhra Pradesh. Recently he worked in a very telugu film known as Mithunam directed by Tanikella Bharani. Mithunam got a important acclaim from numerous individuals


Music Composer : 

                     He has composed music for around forty films and albums like Seethamma Pelli, Bharyamani, Sandarbha, Bangaru Chilaka, Mayuri, Ramanna Shyamanna, Ksherasaagara, Devaralle Dane, Belliyappa Bangarappa beside few films like Muddina Maava, Sigaram, Unnai Charanadaithaen, Padamati Sandhya Ragam in Telugu, Hindi Tamil and Kannada languages. He conjointly owns a production company known as Kodandapani Film Circuits (now Captain cine creations) and produces film underneath this banner. Films like Subha Sankalpam, Bhamane Satya Bhamane were created by him. 


Television : 

                      He began a Tamil serial with actress lakshmi called Jannal Vandha directed by K. Balachander.
